You have got to read this post......?

ok so my son has blown 2 subs already. now i told him that i was going for total sq over spl...i aim for a speaker q of .6 to give that low deep accurate bass... had his 12" sub in around 3 cf enclosures tuned to 25hz running subsonic at 30hz.now i dont need alot of people stating its too big for a 12" cause i know what i desire in audio.....but as for him he just doesnt realize a speaker can only move so much air... he keeps tellin me that he wants sq but goes overboard when showing off his system.my question is do i buy crap mtx that have a fs of aound 40hz and tell him to have at it in a sealed box with absolutely no lw deep accurate bass... or should i aim for a higher q with a good speaker like the tc sounds epic 12" is the next to try lol.(say .85 or so) so it rolls off quicker? i am not ready to throw crappy mtx or kicker stand alone woofers in his ride just yet.
