Can you take more than one pack of the day after pill?

My boyfriend and I messed up on our birth control method yesterday so I took the day after pill. I took the day after pill around 1pm then later on my boyfriend and I had sex and I realized after we had sex that I hadnt taken my birth control that day....This was around 5pm. STUPID! I KNOW! But anyways, Im wondering if since I took the day after pill yesterday....will it cover for the mess up we had later on or do I need to take another day after pill?
