Is there a way to get my apps and a few songs that i lost on my ipod back? They weren't synced to my computer.?

I updates my ipod and it messed up so I had to restore it. After I restored it my content was gone. I had synced my iPod a couple of weeks before that so most of my music was on my computer. I got that music back but I hadn't synced the apps because the box wasn't checked. I hadnt realized that. I recently got my music back but my apps and a few songs hadn't been synced so I couldn't get them back. A few apps I had even payed for. Is there a way I can get my apps and music back even though they weren't synced. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance! It is a 2nd generation 8g ipod touch.
